The LATAM COE Tax Supervisor, plays a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with tax regulations across LATAM markets. This position involves overseeing tax processes, coordinating with various departments, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, service quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit and Tax Process Support: Oversee and support audit and tax processes for LATAM, ensuring proper governance with internal and external auditors.
- Accountability and Coordination: Show accountability for in-scope markets, coordinate and execute tasks to achieve KPIs.
- Process Improvement: Transform service delivery through simplification, standardization, elimination of steps, consolidation, and continuous improvement of underlying processes.
- Leverage your proficiency in tax and audit processes to navigate the intricacies of LATAM markets within a Center of Expertise framework. Your expertise and leadership will be pivotal in ensuring a seamless and compliant operation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to established tax regulations, accounting standards, practices, procedures, and internal controls
- Reporting and Analysis: Present management reports on actual performance and projections, providing analysis and interpretation.
- Review indirect tax returns as part Closing and Control approval process.
- Manage and document Transfer Price Adjustments
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Tax, Audit or Risk Management preferably in a shared service centre environment.
- Knowledge of LATAM tax regulations and processes.
- Excellent verbal, written and negotiation skills, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced level English proficiency (B2 – C1).
- SAP knowledge and ERP experience.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
- Power BI experience.
- Intermediate level of Portuguese (B1-B2)
