As a Land Representative, you will negotiate land and property rights for pipelines and facilities and develop effective working relationships with company partners. You will provide excellent customer service as you resolve sophisticated problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions to improve performance, efficiency and safety. The ability to influence and collaborate with others and communicate and connect with all levels of the organization are keys to success!

Responsibilities/Expectations:

Meets with landowners or local leaders to review small to medium scoped projects and to negotiate easements, purchase agreement, or other land related rights required by the project plan

Supports medium to large scale maintenance, operations, relocation, and abandonment projects

Provides guidance on developing appropriate negotiation strategies

Crafts, reviews, and handles project budgets
-
Prepares market research for potential legal actions; crafts and reviews title reports for land parcels and coordinates with legal on creating instruments required to acquire or release property rights

Writes and approves legal descriptions

Mentors other land team members or contract support

Acquires relevant data and analyzes area economic conditions and real estate trends

Education/Years of Experience:
Land Rep II:
-
Required: High school diploma/GED and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in oil and gas industry, land, real estate, or legal

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; Senior Right of Way Professional certification
Land Rep III:
-
Required: High school diploma/GED and a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in oil and gas industry, land, real estate, or legal
-
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; Senior Right of Way Professional certification
Land Rep Sr:

Required: High school diploma/GED and a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in oil and gas industry, land, real estate, or legal

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; Senior Right of Way Professional certification
Other Requirements:

Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
