A Key Account Manager Associate manages an assigned an account, or group of accounts, with the primary responsibility to create value for the assigned customers through the technical service they provide.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and build assigned business relationships
- Review treatment programs and processes within the territory accounts ensuring effective applications through routine testing and monitoring resulting in customer satisfaction and business retention.
- Conduct the necessary site and LMS/classroom training programs to understand the overall operations of the territory plants and new customer sites
- Sell new business and new applications in your territory – develop and implement sales plans on new opportunities.
- Manage profitability of the account (pump settings, pricing, accounts receivable)
- Review territory applications and processes/procedures for safety improvements
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree (Science or other technical degree). Would consider experience in lieu of a technical degree
- 1-3 years industry experience (pulp & paper or water treatment preferred)
- Documented results solving complex and non-routine technical problems
- Project management of complex projects
- Strong relationship management skills
- Experience learning new concepts and/or technology and applying them
- Ability to work with autonomy and direct/coach indirect reports
- Experience working with multi levels in an organization to achieve results
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using a consultive sales process
- Must be able to pass screenings (drug screen, background check and physical) and have a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record
General Work Environment
- Indoors and outdoors, with driving involved. Employee could be faced with working in temperature extremes. Employee must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude helpful. Use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, gloves, and H2S Monitor as required or needed.
