About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Key Account Manager to join our growing team, where your contributions will make a real difference. Based in the DACH region ideally, you will be managing and growing Airline key accounts in the dynamic e-commerce sector. This role is not just about maintaining relationships—it’s about working collaboratively to create growth opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and contribute to the success of both our clients and our team.
You will be joining a diverse and dynamic sales team made up of Key Account Managers and Business Developers, where collaboration, respect, and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do. This role reports directly to the Director of E-commerce for the DACH region.
Key Responsibilities:

Account Development & Sales Growth: Actively manage and develop key accounts by identifying opportunities for cross-sell and upsell. You will be instrumental in helping clients achieve their goals while driving our company’s success.

Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, positive relationships with key accounts and become a trusted partner. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact by aligning with clients' strategic needs.

Project Management: You are the first point of contact for the Key Accounts on many questions during integration projects. Understanding our API and technical payment flows to answer questions is critical for success.

New Business Acquisition: Occasionally engage in acquiring new key accounts to grow the business and broaden our client base.

Sales Negotiation: Use your excellent negotiation skills to secure long-term, mutually beneficial agreements with C-level decision-makers.

Strategic Planning & Problem Solving: Proactively identify solutions and develop account plans that ensure ongoing success for both the client and Planet. You'll be thinking ahead to prevent issues and take a forward-thinking approach.
Must-Have Requirements:

Deep understanding of the airline industry, including payment flows, industry regulations, and key challenges in airline acquiring and settlement processes. Experience working with IATA, BSP, and airline-specific payment solutions is a plus.

Sales Experience: A strong background in sales is essential for success in this role. You’ve demonstrated success in growing accounts and achieving business goals through cross-selling and upselling.

Key Account Management: Solid experience in managing key accounts, with a focus on delivering exceptional client solutions and driving mutual growth.

Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of APIs and payment applications.

Fluent in German (mother tongue) and English.

Negotiation & Communication Skills: Ability to confidently lead high-level negotiations with senior stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels.

Proactive Problem-Solving: You have a proactive mindset, can spot issues before they arise, and are skilled in developing long-term strategic plans to support both the client and Planet.
