We’re hiring a K-12 education outreach program manager to deliver high-quality STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programming to students and teachers. In this role, you will assess, design and implement new programs, coordinate both student visits and SEL volunteer teams, and continuously strive to improve program processes.
Strong candidates will excel in planning, executing. and documenting events, demonstrate persistent attention to detail, enjoy working with students ages 5-18, be willing to travel and represent SEL at events outside normal business hours, and collaborate effectively with others.
As a K-12 Education Outreach Program Manager, a typical day might include the following:

Overseeing the successful execution of the SEL K-12 education outreach program.

Designing and implementing new programs.

Coordinating multiple program-related projects, including managing budgets and facilitating communication

Supervising others on the team as applicable.

Partnering with managers on strategic planning efforts.

Providing performance data, analysis, managing program milestones, and documenting project activities.

Developing and maintaining an inventory of K-12 education outreach materials (activities, signage, promo, literature, outreach collateral, web pages, presentations, other physical and digital materials) to ensure SEL has a robust collection of K-12 education outreach tools and supplies.

Recruiting, coordinating and directing employee volunteers in executing K-12 education outreach efforts.

You have a relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

You have a minimum of 4 years of experience in education, program administration, or event execution

You have a proven ability to manage teams, develop and initiate actions, work independently, and accept ownership for achieving results associated with assigned accountabilities

You have strong writing, documentation, and communication skills

Pay Range
We anticipate filling this position as a K-12 Education Outreach Program Manager, $78,000 – $104,600. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience, and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
