This position will provide computer and network support to office staff, with a focus on troubleshooting computer, network, software, and hardware issues. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a desire to learn.
Responsibilities:
IT Helpdesk
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve all computer hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and professional manner
- Resolve all Helpdesk tickets within the stipulated time frame
- Record events, problems, and their resolutions in logs
- Assign and install appropriate hardware, peripherals, and licenses
- Set up and configure new laptops and desktops
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve any IT-related issues independently
- Identify user requirements and provide necessary peripherals (e.g., keyboard, mouse, etc.)
- Perform preventive maintenance of devices (laptops, MacBooks, etc.), including OS updates, BIOS updates, antivirus updates, firmware updates, disk clean-ups, and defragmentation
User Administration, Monitoring, and Equipment Provisioning
- Create user accounts and assign appropriate rights independently
- Install and update Linux software on client machines
- Install and configure web servers such as Apache and Nginx
- Install and configure DB servers such as MySQL, MongoDB and MS SQL
- Configure and troubleshoot VPN connections on client machines
- Set up and configure Docker containers
- Monitor the status of internal servers and services using various tools and consoles
- Regularly monitor backups and alert the relevant team member when automatic backups fail
- Keep the asset inventory updated and assign licenses as needed
- Assist in creating batch files and scripts as directed by the supervisor
Technical Qualifications:
- Experience in software, hardware, and network troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of Linux OS and related applications
- Comfortable configuring and troubleshooting Linux-based OS, such as Ubuntu
- Fundamental understanding of DNS, networking, TCP/UDP, and IP routing

- Ability to remain calm and professional when troubleshooting and resolving support issues
- Enjoys working with people
- Strong work ethic, personal accountability, and dependability
- Ability to adjust tasks and schedules to adapt to changing priorities
- Capable of working well under pressure
Education and Work Experience:
- A graduate degree in a computer-related field with at least 1 year of experience in system administration
- A Red Hat or Linux certification is preferred but not required
