About the Role
Redhorse Corporation is transforming how the government uses data and technology. We're seeking a Junior Engineer to join our team supporting critical government initiatives. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the seamless operation of mission-critical systems by performing Level 1 restoration tasks. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of our projects and enhance the way our government clients leverage data and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Level 1 restoration of systems and applications, following documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Utilize Confluence sites and history tickets to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and team members to ensure successful project completion.
- Document resolution steps and contribute to improving internal processes.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our clients’ data and technology infrastructure.
- Maintain meticulous records and reporting on all activities undertaken.
Required Experience/Clearance:
- Minimum of one (1) year of engineering experience OR a BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical field.
- Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance with a completed polygraph is required.
Desired Experience:
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., DataBricks).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitLab).
- Experience using project management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Experience with big data processing technologies (e.g., Spark).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic government environment.
