Description

Perform weekly bank reconciliations working with cross functional teams such as Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure accuracy and completeness of all bank transactions incurred;

Propose journal entries in the accounting system Netsuite, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards;
-
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts during month end close for Balance Sheet accounts;
-
Perform variance analysis on balance sheet accounts to identify business drivers impacting financial performance;
-
Act as liaison to the Accounts Payable team by sharing knowledge, providing training, collaborating to resolve issues, and promoting best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the team;

Manage electronic accounting documents, which includes: invoices, receipt documentation, and other ad-hoc corporate documents;
-
Perform semi-monthly credit card reconciliations, by working with stakeholders across the Company to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation of all charges incurred;

Identify opportunities to improve processes and introduce automation to gain efficiencies and provide recommendations on potential cost saving opportunities;
-
Demonstrate a proficient understanding of accounting standards and ensure proper implementation in routine tasks to maintain compliance and accuracy in financial reporting;

Support other Finance team members with the month-end close and other ad-hoc projects;

Assist with external audits and support SOX compliance; and,
-
Other duties as required.
Qualifications

Completed Bachelors degree in Business Administration

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Collaborative approach and ability to work with cross functional partners

Strong attention to detail in all areas of work, problem solving and analytical skills

Ability to recognize and communicate opportunities for efficiencies and implement new processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with accounting software is an advantage.

The full salary range* for this role is $54,600 to $64,200 to $73,800 CAD.Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate.
