Why this job is important
As a Job Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Kantar Business Services (KBS) Q2C team, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and job accounting processes. Your strategic oversight and collaboration with Finance Business Partners and Project Managers will directly impact our revenue recognition and compliance processes. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations and supporting our business growth.
What you’ll be doing
- Overseeing end-to-end job accounting processes across KBS and BPO teams.
- Collaborating with Finance Business Partners and Project Managers to ensure compliance with revenue recognition processes.
- Ensuring timely and accurate job closure processes with the BPO.
- Analysing journal entries from job hard closures and ensuring IFRS 15 compliance.
- Supporting the monthly non-standard job revenue and direct cost recognition processes.
- Providing job accounting judgments and supporting local audit activities.
- Participating in special finance projects, including process improvement initiatives and M&A activities.
The skills & experience needed as Job Accounting Specialist
- Bachelor’s/University degree or similar experience in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an accountant or equivalent role.
- Understanding of cost allocator and cost tracker jobs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, processes, and workflow technology.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
