Join Mizuho as a Japan Corporate Access Execution Lead and origination support.
The Execution Lead works closely with the Head of Japan Corporate Access, Americas, in a fast paced, detail-oriented manner. This Execution Lead will take ownership of events and problem solve. They should be enthusiastic, take pride in their work, and have strong communication skills. Coordinating logistics requires patience, special attention to details, organization, and professionalism. Origination support role involves working on corporate pitch book to support marketing activities. Working in Corporate Access also requires knowledge of the Equity markets.
Responsibilities:
• Execute events and manage logistics for US-based Japan non-deal roadshows, virtual events, conferences.
• Travel with Japanese Corporate Mgmt. to support NDR on site within North America (could be for a few days to whole week)
• Manage itineraries, create and update marketing materials
• Ability to maintain existing relationships with Japanese corporate clients based in US (Local IR Officers).
• Work closely with institutional equity sales, Tokyo banking team, and investor relations teams
• Japan Corporate NDR Origination Support (Pitch book etc)
Requirements:
• Understanding of Japanese culture and manners
• 3-5 years relevant experience (financial sector event planning)
• Understanding of the equity landscape; analysts, institutional clients, corporate clients
• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, IPreo, FactSet, Salesforce
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills. Complete Japanese / English bilingual (Read, write and speak)
• Proven attention to detail and Solutions oriented approach
• Preferably have experience in Japan Corporate Access, but not necessary
• Hold Series 7 and 63 license or Have capability to pass Series 7 and 63 within 3 months (Required for the role)
The expected base salary ranges from $100,000-150,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
