Mizuho Investment & Corporate Banking – Leveraged Finance Syndicate / Transaction Management, AnalystLeveraged Finance is responsible for originating, structuring, executing, and distributing high yield bond and leveraged loan products for the bank’s 500+ corporate and sponsor clients across industry sectors. Transactions include regular-way financings, acquisition financings such as LBO / M&A, other event-driven structures, and project finance. The role collaborates with all parts of the bank, including sector coverage, Rates, FX, and Credit teamsWe are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Leveraged Finance group as a Syndicate / Transaction Management Analyst.In this role, the candidate will assist the Leveraged Finance desk on daily tasks as they relate to KYC, onboarding new clients, underwriting approvals, internal reporting / reconciliation of P&L, and overall life cycle of fees and trades across high yield debt products. This encompasses working with various internal teams such as Regulatory and Tax Finance, Legal, Fixed Income Sales, Onboarding, Treasury, COO office, Compliance, Legal, IT, as well as syndicate member banks.The candidate will be assigned a variety of projects and given a broad range of responsibilities, some of which include:Responsibilities:
- KYC and Onboarding of new clients / investors for bond and loan transactions
- Coordinating with internal Loan Operations and Credit Administration teams and other internal / external parties to facilitate closing of leveraged loan transactions: obtain and process lender admin details, tax / wiring forms, and other legal documentation
- Assist deal team with leveraged loan fronting approval process
- Underwriting Approvals
- Daily P&L Reporting, updating, and maintaining of P&L system
- Maintenance of affiliate fee splits and fee contracts
- Supervision of expense reimbursements
- Net Capital Charge Requirements
- Management of transaction settlements and Issuer payments
- Tax team requests and requirements
- Payroll reporting of sales credits
- Onboarding and maintenance of syndicate member B&D payments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Relevant experience in corporate banking or capital markets is a plus
- Sound understanding of debt instruments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Bloomberg is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate on cross-functional projects
The expected base salary ranges from $90K - $110k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.#LI-Onsite
