Is this the role for you?
The Pre-Sales consultant role focusses primarily on using your skills to develop and present customised solutions that meet the unique needs of SMB and Enterprise businesses.
Responsible for actively driving and managing the pre-sales process with direct and channel customers the Pre-Sales Consultant must be able to articulate the company’s technology and product portfolio, positioning to both business and technical users.
Engaged in a pre-sales technical consultancy role, the consultant will provide technical assistance and guidance during the pre-sales process by identifying customers technical and business requirements, prior to designing a solution, consulting with technical teams about capabilities, and supporting business sales teams, account managers and partners on proposal activities.
This role reports to the National Pre-Sales Manager in the Digital Services Business Unit.
What you’ll be doing and key responsibilities:
- Leading and contributing to the development of solutions, proposals, tenders and contracts.
- Working with Sales Team members / Account Managers in qualifying and scoping opportunities
- Providing leadership and guidance across the company’s stakeholders when working on new opportunities
- Architecting solutions based on scoping sessions held with customers.
- Creating business and technical documentations which include technical diagrams and explanations of technical language in easy to understand business formats
- Contributing to and participating in tenders and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
- Contributing to technology roadmaps for Managed Services customer
- Contributing and delivering Proof of Concept (POCs)
- Collaborating and providing support to our Account Executive’s to ensure strong account planning and strategies that are aligned to the business goals.
- Delivering presentations to client Executives and key stakeholders.
- Developing key client relationships and have a proven record of delivering new sales and growth in Managed Services and Professional Services
- Continuously working on your area(s) of expertise
- Studying for and completing further certifications
- Keeping up to date in current and upcoming technologies
Key Technologies
- M365 – Intune, Autopilot, AVD, MDM for Android and iOS
- Azure – Infrastructure and Functional
- M365 Security, Compliance and Purview
- Infrastructure Experience – Servers, storage, etc.
To be successful in this role:
- Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a pre-sales or technical consulting role.
- Strong technical knowledge of IT services and solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
