The IT Project Management job family forms the Project Management track within the IT Function. Members of this family lead project teams consisting of associates from a wide variety of functions inside and outside of IT. An IT Project Management Associate assists the Project/Program Manager with
project organization, generation of reports and consolidation of project information. They read and interpret schedule information, maintain schedules, manage logs, organize and document meetings, enter and maintain resources in PRM tool.
Position Description
Individuals in this job position perform work within the IT Project Management track. IT Project Management Associates administratively assist the project team. They demonstrate the ability to clearly express and share ideas both verbally and written, in a positive and effective manner to their supervisor and team members. Effective in communicating status to the team. Demonstrates
confidence and active listening to confirm understanding of the deliverable. They act within well-defined policies and procedures and follow existing processes. IT Project Management Associates are individual contributors within their team. They are competent at managing their time, have interpersonal and collaboration skills. They receive direction from Program Managers. The decisions they make impact their team or specific area of support. As an individual contributor they are considered a member of a group or team focused on delivering business goals by follow structured processes and procedures to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
- Works primarily with Project Manager and Project team.
- Manages portions of project administrative tasks including tool updates to support senior staff or
- other project managers
- Assists in project organization, generation of reports and consolidation of project information
- Assists the project/program manager to manage and maintain data used for project execution,
- management and reporting
- Organizes and documents meetings
- Assists with budget management including invoice reconciliation
- Keeps an open mind for continuous improvement
- Manages tasks independently with direction from project management lead
- Understands best practices for project organization
Qualifications
- No degree requirement
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be comfortable working remotely and lack of face-to-face time with colleagues and managers.
