You ensure that technical, scientific and business programs are completed on time and on budget. In addition, you manage the talent in your assigned area and jointly set the direction for your region and the associated business units. As a member of the management team, you interact with all levels of clients and technology organizations.
How you will contribute
In this role you will discover, scope and prove ways to optimise Packaging costs for the business through technology while minimising impact on the product or Pack (throughout the entire product lifecycle)
You will build your own ideas and assess incoming ideas from other functions and partners (internal and external) identifying potential scope and scale, risks to overcome and how to mitigate. You will prove principles of technologies to drive confidence in implementation at scale and collaborate with the Packaging Development teams towards execution of the change.
To do this you will use new tools and methods (digital and physical) to analyse, scope and prove or disprove readiness early. You will collaborate across a wide range of stakeholders - within R&D, the wider business across a broad range of functions, and externally to Packaging suppliers and partners.
You will manage a number of workstreams in parallel to drive productivity to market, build future pipelines of productivity and also change how we scope and execute productivity, driving efficiency wherever possible.
What you will bring
A proactive and agile attitude to driving progress through learning early and adopting new processes to drive progress on a solid base of technical expertise.
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:
- Fluent English
- 4+ years of experience in R&D packaging or a relevant function
- Agility and drive towards problem solving in a dynamic environment
- Adoption of new technologies and digital - modelling and data analysis tools
- Strong project management skills
- Influencing multi-functional teams of both internal and external partners
- Packaging development and/or packaging deployment, ideally within fast moving consumer goods or consumer packaging goods environment
- Planning and delivering multiple priorities
- Proactively identifying complex technical or business problems and creating and implementing solutions
- Influencing senior and cross-functional stakeholders verbally and in writing, including writing technical reports
- Coaching and mentoring others
- Championing for consumer needs
