IT Project Manager

Position Title: IT Project Manager

Location: Regina, SK

Overview:

Charter is currently seeking two (2) experienced IT Project Manager to join our team starting May 2025. Joining an existing project management team, the ideal candidate will have 7+ years of PM experience managing large-scale data conversion and migration projects. Previous experience (7yrs) in vendor management and managing cross functional project teams, including technical, business subject matter experts, and vendor partners, is an asset. Experience with data conversions and migration processes/tools/methodologies, data governance and compliance requirements is an asset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Location: Regina, SK. Term: 2 years. Strong possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

• Manage scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables which includes applying techniques for planning, monitoring, and reporting, change control, and risk and issue management of a large-scale data conversion and migration project.
• Provide oversight of the data conversion and migration deliverables and tasks.
• Manage and work effectively with external vendors partners.
• Create and manages the overall project budget.
• Regularly updates stakeholders with reports on the progress and performance of projects. Reports and escalates as needed through the appropriate channels.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risk to avoid delays and cost overruns.
• Create and manage comprehensive project documentation.
• Follow standards, practices, and processes related to projects and ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large-scale data conversion and migration projects.
• 7+ years of experience managing cross functional project teams, including technical, business subject matter experts, and vendor partners.
• 7+ years of vendor management experience.
• Experience employing a disciplined approach to managing project records.
• Experience project and resource planning.
• Strong interpersonal, management, and communication skills at all levels of the organization.
• Experience with data conversions and migration processes, tools and methodologies.
• Experience with data governance and compliance requirements
• Experience managing predictive, agile, and hybrid projects.
• Experience utilizing project management software
• Experience with data structures, data mapping, ETL processes and cloud platforms would be considered an asset
• Education: Active industry certifications, (i.e., PMP).
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
