We're looking for Network Administrator who can thrive in a team setting and who is passionate about delivering quality work and exceptional service. Our Network Administrator must perform network administration and planning for all aspects of IT-network administration (including network equipment, server integration, and software applications) while identifying opportunities for optimization, security and cost-efficiency that meet the businesses evolving needs.
This is an in office position in Lincoln, NE.

  • Perform a wide range of network administration duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for Cisco, Juniper, network equipment

  • Lead the evaluation, testing, and seamless deployment of critical software and hardware upgrades on our Cisco and Juniper network infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to operations

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain core and peripheral network devices (Cisco, Juniper, firewalls), with opportunities to expand your expertise through continuous learning and exposure to new technologies

  • Proactive monitoring of all network devices, services, and servers using a combination of tools to ensure high availability and SLA’s

  • Collect and review network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes

  • Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans

  • Interface with vendors for procurement and maintenance of all IT infrastructures

  • Manage and troubleshoot network and Internet connectivity throughout the organization

  • Work closely with fellow tech team members to provide end-user support and issue resolution

  • A proactive approach to learning and a passion for staying current with technology advancements

  • Rigorously create and maintain documentation for all processes and procedures

  • Collaborate with and support the work of other staff engaged in similar functions

  • Provide emergency 24 x 7 on-call support on a rotating basis

PREFERRED EDUCATION and Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related work experience

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience administering and maintaining network equipment, including Cisco and/or Juniper devices

  • Experience with Linux and Windows server environments, firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX), and network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).

  • Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, Ethernet, switching, routing protocols, DNS).

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Organizational Units (OUs), and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences         

  • A proactive approach to continuous learning and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

  • Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to following tasks through to completion
