The Computer Operations Specialist is responsible for working on the lifecycle of large and complex projects, and collaborating with the user in order to achieve success, through a track record of professionalism and excellence in all aspects of the experience.
General Responsibilities
• Performs routine tasks, that are commonly associated with operating a computer in accordance with detailed instructions
• Bringing on-site desktop support to business for help with PC Hardware/software needs
• Develops and communicates technical, systems and application standards and ensures compliance with existing standards
• Maintains systems documentation for testing and validation
• Performs post-implementation support, identifying root cause with strategic solutions to problems
• Works with vendors to analyze and troubleshoot solutions
• Identify new solutions and services for the desktop support team that align with business objectives
• Trains fellow desktop administrators in organizational processes
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Managing objectives - Ability to decide what needs to be accomplished and design a plan to achieve the desired results
• Team Management - Ability to delegate, motivate, mentor, develop and manage team to achieve objectives. Manage external resource against SLA and operational metrics
• Budget Management - Ability to project and present annual operation Expense and Capital budget in departmental budget process
