Job Title: App Xchange Integration Engineer

About the Role
Integration Engineers are responsible for creating best in class integration products on the Trimble App Xchange platform. The Integration Engineer will work with product managers and architects to convert business and technical requirements into quality integration products. Using established development conventions and design patterns, the Integration Engineer will deliver high quality, scalable, and maintainable integrations.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain integration products on the App Xchange platform
- Understanding business and technical documentation and specifications
- Contribute to integration planning, product, and architecture meetings
- Perform functional testing
- Participate in code reviews
- Manage production deployments
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve production issues
- Managing workload through accurate updates to stories and good communication
- Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders including:
- App Xchange:
- Product managers, architects, other Integration Engineers, and integration specialists
- Support and customer success teams
- Platform product and engineering teams
- Trimble and non-Trimble product, engineering, and professional services teams
- Trimble customers
- Participate in App Xchange platform product demos and provide meaningful feedback to the App Xchange platform team
- Active participant in App Xchange integration authoring best practices
What Skills & Experience You Should Have
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field plus a minimum of three years relevant experience in software quality assurance or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience creating integrations using middleware technologies, including IPAAS platforms such as Dell Boomi
- Writing software using JavaScript. Also writing software using C# is a plus. Experience with other languages will be considered.
- Understanding and applying design patterns, coding standards, and best practices
- Comprehend and create JSON and JSON schema
- Ability to comprehend new APIs and how the author intends for them to be used based on the Swagger/Open API specifications and other application documentation
- Understanding of REST APIs and using tools to interact with/exercise APIs
- Working within the software development life cycle
- Working knowledge of MS SQL
- Experience related to the construction industry is a plus
- Fluency in English
