Mercer is seeking candidates for the position of Internal Communications Specialist.

We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Mercer Super team at Mercer. This role will be based in either Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This role will suit an experienced communications specialist preferably with a background in superannuation, wealth or financial services. 

We will count on you to:

  • Implement the internal communication strategy for Mercer Superannuation, ensuring that enterprise and global messages are effectively customized and activated locally.

  • Develop and execute the annual communications plan, including creating a monthly internal newsletter and leading the Mercer Superannuation Town Hall events.

  • Collaborate with teams across Mercer and Marsh McLennan to drive internal communications initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Assess the impact of communication initiatives and manage the oversight of messaging across multiple channels to maintain organizational reputation.

  • Inspire and engage colleagues through storytelling and two-way communication, while managing key stakeholders to ensure smooth communication processes.

What you need to have:

  • Tertiary education in communications or marketing.

  • At least 5 years of experience in communications, preferably within the superannuation, wealth, or financial services sectors.

  • Proven track record in developing and executing internal communication campaigns across various channels.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes at all organizational levels.
