Role Description & Mission:

The Internal Communications Content Creator will be responsible for developing, editing, and delivering engaging and informative content that effectively communicates the company’s culture, brand, and strategic initiatives for internal communication channels within the organization. Will collaborate closely with the Internal Communications Manager to develop and execute communication plans, manage content creation across various platforms, and support key stakeholders. This role plays a crucial part in fostering an informed, connected, and motivated workforce by creating content that enhances employee engagement, informs staff about organizational updates, and promotes company values and culture.

Key Outcomes:

  • Create diverse content formats including articles, videos, blog posts, social media updates, and internal newsletters that engage employees and promote the company’s culture, values, and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the Internal Communications Manager to develop and execute communication plans that align with organizational priorities and leadership messages.
  • Develop key messages, talking points, and content for leadership communication to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Write scripts for videos and contribute to editorial planning for internal content.
  • Contribute to the development and management of internal communication platforms, such as intranet sites, employee emails, and other internal channels.
  • Support special initiatives and internal events through content creation and communication materials.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure effective communication of strategic goals, maintaining consistency and quality across all materials.
  • Respond to feedback and suggestions from employees to continuously improve internal communication strategies.
  • Assist with managing internal projects and maintaining a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant messaging to employees.

Role Based Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field or equivalent experience.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in content writing, corporate communications, or a related field. Proven experience creating content in a variety of formats including articles, blog posts, social media updates, internal newsletters, videos, and presentations. Experience with video editing software, graphic design tools, or multimedia platforms is a plus.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities, with the capacity to adapt content for various formats and audiences. Strong storytelling skills, able to craft messages that resonate with employees and communicate the company’s values and strategic goals clearly and effectively.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Strong organizational skills to maintain a content calendar, track projects, and ensure the timely delivery of content.
  • Creativity and Innovation: Proficient in creating engaging, creative content that captures employee attention and drives engagement. Ability to think outside the box and contribute new ideas to improve communication strategies and internal engagement.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with the Internal Communications Manager, leadership, and other departments to gather input and create relevant content. Strong interpersonal skills to work with different stakeholders and ensure content aligns with organizational priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all written and visual content. Ability to carefully proofread and edit materials before publishing to ensure the highest quality of communication.
  • Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms, including content management systems, email marketing tools, and intranet platforms.
  • Cultural Competency and Inclusion: Ability to create content that is inclusive and resonates with a diverse workforce. Strong understanding of how to communicate across different employee demographics while maintaining consistency in messaging.

Working Relationships: Works closely with leadership, HR, marketing teams, and other departments to align messaging with organizational priorities. Collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure the internal communication strategy supports business goals and engages employees.

Additional Requirements: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and the needs of the business. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

**This role will have a requirement to come to our Medford, MA headquarters 1x a week*

The base salary range presented represents the anticipated low and high end salary range for new hires in this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range presented based on various factors, including, but not limited to, work location, experience, job related skills, and relevant training and education. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package provided by Agero to employees.
