Position Summary
Internships are Monday through Friday for 40 hours a week. The intern will work on software development projects for multiple in-house applications. They must have prior knowledge of various programming languages. Interns need to be able to work both independently and alongside a team.
Responsibilities
- Develop web-based software applications with high quality, usability and scalability according to product designs and business requirements
- Deliver highly reusable, maintainable and extensible code in accordance with software engineering best practices
- Work as part of the software engineering team to create technical solutions and materialize them into software code
- Develop applications using a cloud-based infrastructure built on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and proprietary cloud server farm
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or software engineering
- Any combination of experience with:
- At least one front end framework such as Angular V10+ or similar
- A compiler/scripting language such as Java (preferred) to create a solid understanding in object-oriented design
- Relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL
- RESTful API design and implementation
- DevOps/build tools such as Grunt, Maven, Gradle, Test Frameworks, Git and CI/CD pipeline
- Server-side JavaScript frameworks such as Node.js
- NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Document DB (nice to have)
- Hybrid mobile app development frameworks such as Ionic
