Job Summary:

This position is for the Data Science and Analytics team at Geisinger. The candidate will be assigned to a project, for example, to develop time series forecasting and staffing allocation models for the emergency department, or developing statistical monitoring products on patient quality efforts or developing dashboards, analytics and integrations with SDoH data.

Job Duties:

• Interns will work along side professionals in their chosen career area.
• Assist with supporting the assigned area, gaining practical application experience, and expanding their knowledge and skills base.
• Interns will have the opportunity to observe the workplace and gain industry knowledge, while also performing job-specific tasks to assist with operations.
• Works closely on a project team both conceptually and analytically, applying business acumen.
• Assists in developing insights, results and recommendations.

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Position Details:

Experience with machine learning, statistical modelling, data visualization, SQL and Python preferred.
