We are currently recruiting for Interim Legal Counsel to look after local markets for Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg on a 6 month maternity contract, based in our Amsterdam office, starting in March 2025.
You will advise the business on a broad range of legal matters, mostly focused on commercial contract law, consumer protection, and employment law. In addition to the Netherlands, where you will be the local legal expert, you will also be the first point of contact for all legal matters in Belgium and Luxembourg, for which you work together with external legal counsels.
This is an opportunity for someone with a broad legal background, looking to gain rapid exposure to a fast growing business in the international fashion retail market.
You will work closely with the COO and senior leadership on commercial decisions, partner with HR team on employment matters, and oversee and approve all contracts with third parties.

Required Skills, Experience and Attributes:

Qualified in Dutch law - essential

Minimum 2 years experience gained at a law firm and/or as inhouse counsel in an international environment

Broad knowledge of commercial contract law

Broad knowledge of employment law is desirable

Affinity with the fashion retail industry

Fluent in English - essential
