We seek a dynamic, creative, meticulous, detail-oriented Social Media Manager to join our marketing agency team. This role involves managing multiple clients across various entertainment titles, including planning the social media calendars, scheduling posts, engaging with the audience on said posts, developing brand awareness across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Threads, and other social media channels. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media, deeply understand what’s working across platforms, and keep their finger on the pulse of trends and emerging content formats. Exceptional copywriting skills are essential, as you will craft compelling, on-brand messaging that resonates with audiences and you will master the unique tone and voice of each intellectual property (IP) you represent.
IMPORTANT CALL OUTS FOR THIS JOB:
- Freelance to staff possible (we pay our freelancers via W2 payroll).
- Candidates with streaming client experience will be prioritized. Film or streaming entertainment client experience is important.
- Those with integrated marketing experience in social media preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Client Account Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned social media clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment with their goals. These accounts will have some posts outside of the regular working hours, which will require this role to be on when needed.
- Strong collaboration with the Strategy, Creative, and Account teams working to develop the social calendar for each brand.
- Presenting content calendars and roll out strategies to the client in tandem with the Strategy, Creative, and Account teams.
- Drafting a daily hot sheet to share with the client on campaign posts for the day.
- Campaign Management & Execution:
- Planned and maintained client content calendars and other project management documents, ensuring timely posting on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, etc.
- Manage a high posting volume with a meticulous eye for detail. Ensure all posts go live correctly with the approved asset, thumbnail, copy, and tags.
- Collaborate with the Creative team to make asset recommendations based on platform best practices and draft post copy.
- Post & Engagement Copywriting:
- Adapt and perfect each IP's distinct tone and voice, ensuring consistency across all social media content.
- Craft sharp, engaging, and on-brand copy tailored to each platform and audience.
- Community Engagement:
- Engage with online communities for clients by responding to comments with the outlined brand’s tone of voice.
- Foster a positive brand image and escalate crisis communications if needed to the wider team and client as needed.
- Trend Monitoring:
- Stay informed about emerging social media trends, tools, and platform updates.
- Proactively suggest innovative ideas and strategies to keep clients ahead of the curve.
ABOUT YOU:
- 5+ years of experience as a social media manager or in a similar role. Film/TV/Streaming Originals experience is strongly preferred.
- Integrated marketing agency experience important.
- Strong experience working closely with clients and managing their day-to-day workflows.
- Expertise in managing multiple social media platforms and tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Socialite, Hootsuite, and so forth).
- Strong understanding of best practices per platform and trends.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt the tone of voice per account and to tailor content to various audiences.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and an eye for design.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple clients, and meet tight deadlines while collaborating closely with Account, Creative, and Strategic counterparts.
- Strong use of discretion when working on highly confidential assets or releases.

Annual base pay range for this position is below.
$85,000—$105,000 USD
