What's exciting about the role

As our new Instructional Designer you will be responsible for developing and implementing learning solutions to support the onboarding of new associates and the continued learning of existing associates for Verifone. You will be building and updating training materials to meet business needs; utilizing our internal processes, tools, and systems for timely delivery

Main responsibilities:

  • Design onboarding curriculum, courseware, and update training as needed.
  • Develop written materials for training including instructor guides, participant guides, presentations, job aids, and other documentation as required.
  • Identify skills or knowledge gaps during trainings and collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to implement effective strategies to close learning gaps.
  • Translate learning requirements into easy to understand learning solutions or documentation.
  • Follow project plans in alignment with established project workflows and meet established project deadlines.
  • Work with management and trainers to schedule and coordinate learning activities.
  • Maintain written procedures and policies and periodically review and recommend updates and changes.
  • Develops multimedia-based learning experiences including self-paced modules, videos, and audio materials.
  • Design effective, interactive learning activities and authentic assessments that encourage critical thinking.
  • Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned

Skills and Experience we desire

  • Bachelor’s degree in learning and development or related field (or the equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Proficient in speaking and writing in English
  • 2 years Financial Service, Call Center, or Client Service experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in instructional design in a corporate environment, presenting complex functional and technical training is helpful.
  • Experience with Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to respond to routine multi-tasking as well as complex, unplanned issues while adhering to deadlines for multiple initiatives.
  • Ability to independently research issues, gather evidence, and successfully work with various groups throughout organization.
  • Outstanding oral, written, and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all functional areas.
  • Proactive, assertive, and energetic teammate.
  • Knowledge of current training techniques and tools in technical subjects is helpful.
  • Proficiency in MS Office product suite.
