Primary Function
Design, develop and deliver training programs, instruction, and manuals for all aspects of the business for both new and existing employees. Assist with development of training objectives such as enhancing business performance, support new training initiatives and leadership development.
Candidate should have strong content knowledge, experience in presentation and knowledge of instructional design that is results driven. Ability to assist in developing and writing innovative and interactive learning content to meet business objectives in both classroom, virtual and eLearning environments.
Principal Duties
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
- Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
- State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
- Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
- Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
- Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
- Maintain project documentation and course folders
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor
Education and Experience Requirements
- Four-year college degree preferred with certification or related course work demonstrating proficiency in writing or instructional/interactive design technology a plus
- Experience with conceptual and instructional design methods and specifically with delivering existing materials and developing new learning content.
- Previous facilitation experience required
- Experience in designing curricula in a financial services environment
- Experience with eLearning Authoring Software such as Captivate, Articulate or other authoring tools required
- Editing and publishing experience preferred
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements
- Demonstrated verbal, written, organizational, and presentation skills required
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- PC experience, MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, adapt to changing business needs, and to work independently as well as part of a team
- Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities and meet goals and deadlines.
