Avantor is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Inside Sales Account Manager to join our team in Stockholm. In this role, you will manage a territory consisting of 50-100 customers within a specific market segment. Your primary responsibilities will include driving market share gains, meeting company growth expectations, and managing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Territory Management: Manage a territory of 50-100 customers within a specific market segment.

Market Share Growth: Drive market share gains and meet company growth expectations by completing a high volume of outbound phone calls each day.

Working with Quotes: Ensure all quotes are accurately prepared and promptly delivered to customers. Verify all details and address any queries they may have.

Follow-Up: Maintain regular follow-up with customers to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline to track progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and ensure timely progression of all deals. Conduct regular reviews and adjust strategies as needed.

Customer Activities: Coordinate and participate in customer activities, such as visits and meetings, to strengthen relationships and better understand their needs. Tailor our offerings to improve customer satisfaction.

Effective Communication: Communicate effectively and persuasively with a high volume of people throughout the workday over the phone.

Prospecting and Establishing New Customers: Manage a sales pipeline in Salesforce, develop and deliver proposals to customers, and illustrate VWR’s value proposition.

Customer Solutions: Determine the requirements and expectations of existing and new customers to provide solutions based on VWR’s value proposition.

Consultative Selling: Demonstrate an understanding of the prospect’s challenges, ask smart questions, and build the case for VWR’s products and services. Set up future appointments as needed.

Post-Sale Follow-Up: Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.

Customer Retention: Develop retention strategies to expand VWR’s role with existing customers, illustrating VWR’s value proposition in conjunction with evolving customer requirements.

Product Knowledge: Work directly with local manufacturer representatives to develop and continually improve product knowledge, arrive at favourable pricing, and improve profitability.

Professional Representation: Represent VWR/Avantor and present a professional image to customers and manufacturers.

Qualifications:

  • College Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Proven track record of sales experience preferred.
  • Business-to-business sales experience preferred.
  • Full & clean driving license
  • Languages: Fluent in Swedish&English

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written skills.
  • Strong communication and team interaction skills, routinely interacting with customers, manufacturers, and VWR/Avantor staff.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively over the phone.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to carry on business conversations with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and successfully manage time and territory.
  • Understanding of individual customer operations.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
