Job Title: Inside Account Manager
Reports To: V.P of Sales
Department: Sales
Summary: Inside Account Manager is responsible for managing Vigon’s house accounts and quickly replying to customer requests and inquiries. The goal of this position is to develop accounts that purchase only a few products into larger accounts that purchase many products. In addition, this position requires prospecting and cold calling to find new accounts in existing Vigon serviced industries and find new industries that can utilize Vigon’s ingredients.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following, although other duties may be assigned.
- Respond to customer requests in a timely manner. These requests include pricing, availability, documentation and other basic technical requests. Act as a conduit with other internal departments to get the necessary information for the customer.
- Utilize Vigon’s ERP and CRM systems to be able to quote customers and give them information on inventory and if certain materials are on allocation hold.
- Develop relationships with customers so that they think of Vigon first and contact you for product requirements they may have. Document these requests, quote and respond to the customer as quickly as possible.
- Develop sales at current and future house accounts so that we sell them more products that we currently sell.
- Find new markets to sell Vigon ingredients and develop business in this industry. Develop additional business in industries Vigon currently sells to that are assigned to the Inside Sales Team to manage.
- Utilize the company CRM and sales pipeline to enter potential leads and customer quotes in order to better manage the sales cycle and process.
- Evaluate prospects and new customers to ensure they are established businesses.
- Providing back-up for other sales team members when they are traveling or on vacation.
- Assist sales team members with any project as needed.
- Occasional travel may be required to attend Vigon and industry events such as golf outings, networking events and customer visits.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience.
Language Ability:
Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, inventory/database software and the internet, and ability to use the company’s ERP and CRM software.
