We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to manage our Data Center Infrastructure team. In this role, you will lead a small team responsible for our data center operations, infrastructure management, and critical systems maintenance. You'll combine your technical expertise with strong leadership skills to ensure efficient operations and team development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, providing technical guidance and career development
- Establish clear performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to drive team excellence
- Create and maintain documentation for operational procedures and best practices
- Develop training programs to enhance team capabilities and cross-functional knowledge
Operational Management
- Oversee daily data center operations, including capacity planning and resource allocation
- Manage inventory of hardware and software assets, including procurement planning
- Create and maintain reporting systems for infrastructure performance, capacity, and team metrics
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and upgrade plans
- Establish and monitor SLAs for infrastructure services
- Coordinate with vendors and maintain vendor relationships
Technical Leadership
- Guide the implementation and maintenance of Linux-based infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters
- Oversee storage system architecture and capacity planning
- Direct automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency
- Ensure infrastructure security and compliance standards are met
- Lead incident response and problem-resolution processes
Leadership Experience
- 3+ years of experience leading technical teams
- Proven track record of mentoring and developing team members
- Experience with performance management and team development
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Technical Background
- 7+ years of experience in data center operations or infrastructure management
- Hands-on experience with Linux systems administration
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies
- Understanding of storage systems and networking fundamentals
- Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Background in capacity planning and budgeting
- ITIL certification or similar operational framework knowledge
