Job Description:
Role: Nextracker is seeking a key member of the global tax team, responsible for managing regional indirect tax compliance and supporting various business initiatives, M&A integrations, new country expansions and process improvement. A successful candidate will lead cross-functional projects, build relationships with business partners, provide tax advice to key stakeholders and manage indirect tax compliance in assigned region.

Your Contribution:
Oversee indirect tax compliance for the assigned region. Manage indirect tax compliance and related tax planning.
- Scale indirect tax operations, including managing tax compliance, such as setting up new rules and process, analysis, preparation and filing of informational and compliance returns, payment of taxes and maintenance of accurate records for multiple jurisdictions.
- Lead indirect tax planning of several expansion projects and initiatives, as well as new country expansions and M&A integrations.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including finance, sales, engineering, legal, accounting and project management.
- Timely deliver indirect tax advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide indirect tax guidance on planning initiatives, legislative developments, and other ad hoc matters.
- Assist with M&A due diligence and integration as needed.
- Review legal contracts and agreements with customers and vendors from an indirect tax perspective.
- Manage indirect tax audits.
- Develop training material to share with key business partners.
- Manage external advisors.
- Ensure compliance with e-invoicing requirements in assigned region.
- Identify and support system improvements and automation to increase indirect tax compliance efficiency and accuracy.
Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:
- A minimum of 5+ years of indirect tax experience. Experience in a publicly traded multinational group or of a Big4 required.
- Fluent in English.
- Capable of working independently while being part of a global tax team.
- Experience with managing and reviewing indirect tax compliance activities for multinational companies.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience implementing indirect tax automation software is a plus.
