The Implementation Manager is part of a global Implementation Team based in Denmark, USA, China and Singapore. It is the responsibility of the implementation team to perform customer implementations post-sales.
About the Role:
We are looking for an Implementation Manager to lead and manage customer implementations of our world-class products, Pure, part of the suite of Academic Information Systems (AIS) products: The leading research information systems, trusted by research institutions across the globe.
As an Implementation Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a number of these implementations. You will function as the customer’s Pure expert during the implementation and especially regarding the technical tasks of getting data in and out of Pure. You will be the main point of contact for the customer after the purchase of Pure and during the implementation, and the ability to establish good communications and relations with the customer is very important. We take pride in understanding and solving customer's questions and issues, both technical and functional.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the customer for the implementation project, including assisting sales in pre-sales activities.
- Manage and monitor the implementation as it unfolds, including regular online status meetings with the customer.
- Communicate, plan, and track the work for the specific implementation project with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Be the customer’s Pure expert offering advice and knowledge of best practices on how to use Pure to ensure that the customer harvests the full potential of Pure.
- Liaising with all internal teams (Product, Support, Engineering, Customer Success and Sales) to provide your clients with comprehensive, well-informed support for all their needs
- Ensure that the customer launches with the best possible Pure set up within the boundaries defined for the project on time.
- Training clients online/onsite to help them use and configure our systems.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese are required. Asian languages such as Mandarin/Chinese or Korean are preferred but not essential.
- University degree or other relevant education (e.j. software engineer, computer scientist, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years of experience with IT project management, preferably with professional Project Management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2
- Sufficient technical experience to understand and explain systems integration on the data level including data extraction, transformation, and formatting.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of databases, XML, ETL and Web Services/API
- Able to program for data transformation activities is preferred
- Experience within the area of research information management is preferred
