Job Family Definition:

Come help lead the PR program for the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) hybrid cloud business that consist of market leading solutions for AI, private and hybrid cloud, storage, data protection and cloud services. Cultivate and maintain strong, proactive, two-way relationships with journalist that result in positive media coverage for Hewlett Packard Enterprise and the hybrid cloud business unit. This role will help lead the media strategy for several market leading B2B IT solutions and will require the development and execution of press releases, media pitching, key message development, and executive prep, coaching and counseling to ensure that announcements, and interviews are done well. Must have a strong understanding of the B2B IT technology market. For example, previous experience in cloud, storage, security, compute, networking, AI, enterprise software, etc. is highly recommended. The role will also require the management of PR agencies to help execute against stated plans and objectives.

Management Level Definition:

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge in media relations and communications to drive market awareness for the company. Frequently contributes to the development of new storylines, and pitches that will drive positive media coverage. Works on complex problems where market analysis, subject matter expertise and diplomacy of situations is important as a communication leader. As part of the broader global communication team will participate in 360 communication projects. Looking for a self-starter that can help lead PR for an iconic technology brand, and company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, and lead key PR strategies and programs in support of business objectives.
  • Lead news and launch activities, including drafting press releases, key messages, presentations, and securing and executing media interviews.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalist (business and trade press).
  • Provide media and spokesperson coaching
  • Manage the PR agency partnership.

Education and Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, or communications.
  • BA or BS in Communications, English, Marketing or Business Administration is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the B2B enterprise IT technology market.
  • Advanced writing and editing skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Ability to take complex concepts and messages and transform into an audience- resonating story.
  • Organization and program management skills.
  • Ability to link PR plans and activities to business results.
  • Proven analytic skills (measurement, ROI).
  • Comfortable as a spokesperson for the company and/or business unit.
  • Fluency in local language and English.
  • High levels of tact and diplomacy.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $101,900.00 - $234,500.00
