General Information:

In this position you will work beside our Sales organization toward North-American customers, you will be supporting the definition of technical solutions and will translate the market needs into new portfolio requirements, in order to maintain and strength our leading position as preferred partners for HVDC solutions.

You will be part of a highly skilled and diversified team, operating globally and in close cooperation with all the main functions of the business, including Sales, Bid & Proposals, Engineering, Operation, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Service and R&D.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support customers in the region to identify the most optimal solutions for upcoming leads.
  • Analyze the HVDC regional market, identify the main trends and requirements, measure our performance and develop the value proposition in the short, mid and long term.
  • Support with clear inputs the definition of the global product strategy by clearly communicate the priorities for the Region of responsibilities, timelines and impact.
  • Interact with a community of Product Managers to support a clear and planned product portfolio and development program.
  • Define together with the involved functions the best go to market strategy to best support the market demands, including providing the critical inputs to the Product Lifecycle Management – PLM – system.
  • Define the marketing needs in the Region and cooperate with the marketing function to create and communicate the right content in the right forums.
  • Participate in relevant trade associations, engage with Regulators and policy makers supporting the future directions of the industry.
  • Drive effective communication to internal stakeholders on progress and escalating roadblocks to success.

Your Background:

  • You hold a Master of Science degree or Doctoral degree in Engineering.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • >8 years of experience and active work within sales of power system solutions toward Utilities and Industrial customers.
  • You have proven understanding of power system equipment and solutions You are analytical and with ability to structure complex environments.
  • Good team player, effective influencer and leadership profile.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory.
