Recast Software’s headquarters are in Minneapolis, MN with offices in Utrecht, Netherlands and Jyväskylä, Finland. This role is expected to work from the Utrecht, Netherlands office approximately once per week and travel 2 – 4 times per year internationally.

 

About the Role:

As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be a valuable partner for managers and employees across our growing European global teams. Your focus will be on partnering with business leaders to drive strategic People Operations initiatives and help managers build and develop teams to achieve their department’s business objectives. Whether onboarding, performance management, training or consulting with managers or employees, you will be a knowledgeable and trustworthy resource across the organization. In addition to core HR responsibilities, you will oversee office operations for our Utrecht office and develop regional engagement programs tailored for our European employees to enhance their connection to Recast’s culture.


This role requires experience working in multinational companies, particularly within the SaaS technology sector, to ensure HR strategies and programs are aligned with the needs of a rapidly growing, global workforce. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work culture, promoting employee engagement, and supporting organizational growth and development.  

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage key employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, and organizational changes, ensuring a seamless experience aligned with company policies and best practices.
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, including benefits administration, employee records compliance, salary and contract negotiations, and supporting performance management processes to ensure alignment with company policies and legal requirements. Serve as a partner to business leaders, providing guidance and support on all HR-related matters.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and drive overall company success.
  • Design and execute engagement programs tailored for employees across Europe, ensuring cultural relevance and alignment with Recast’s values.
  • Partner with leaders to address employee relations issues, providing coaching to promote a positive work environment.
  • Conduct regular analysis of HR metrics and data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Promote a culture of belonging and mutual respect, ensuring all employees feel valued and supported in a collaborative work environment.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best HR practices, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Lead and execute HR projects, collaborating cross-functionally to drive business success.
  • Support organizational change efforts, including restructurings, mergers, and acquisitions, while ensuring alignment with company values and culture.
  • Manage day-to-day office operations for our Utrecht office, ensuring a well-functioning and engaging employee experience. 
  • Oversee and review employee health and safety procedures and managing the company emergency response organization (BHV).
  • Support HR Compliance efforts, ensuring alignment with European labor laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • HBO degree in Human Resource Management (HRM), Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on HR business partnership or generalist experience.
  • Experience working in multinational companies, ideally within the SaaS technology sector.
  • Travel to the office approximately once per week and travel internationally 2 – 4 times per year.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • High level of integrity and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally. 

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices including compensation, performance management, hiring and employee relations; ability to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into actionable HR initiatives.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with event planning and employee engagement programming.
