Standard Duties:
- Demonstrates advanced-level knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in areas such as recruitment, employee and/or labor relations, workers compensation, payroll, compensation, benefits administration, and managing business partnerships with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to the delivery of HR strategies to support organizational goals and objectives.
- Partner with functional leaders and leadership teams to ensure the overall organization and culture are designed around strategic growth and performance goals.
- Provide high level coaching and counsel to leaders.
- Along with leaders and learning partners, help architect solutions for future talent needs.
- Drive a strategic learning culture encouraging of cross-functional opportunities.
- Lead the acquisition, staffing, development, and retention BorgWarner associates.
- Advocate use of performance management and feedback mechanisms to insure frequent, candid communication with associates.
- Rigorously pursues practical business solutions while spontaneously responding to the day to day needs of the business.
- Developed full life cycle project management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
- Partner with Safety on incident investigation from initial claim to a resolution.
- Strong focus on staffing and recruitment for area responsibility.
- Strong focus on applying and operating within the BorgWarner Beliefs.
- Facilitates a collaborative environment and implements appropriate change management initiatives.
- Provides customer service to support the business through the consistent application of HR policies, recruitment strategies, performance management, data analysis, team progress and taking initiative on challenging assignments.
- Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
- Manage high volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves".
- Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures for continual improvement in business objectives, productivity and development.

Additional Information:
- Travel is occasionally required, up to 5% of the time.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 5+ years of HR Generalist experience, employee relations, change management, and recruiting preferred.
- SHRM-CP, PHR certification is preferred.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven track record of advanced-level HR generalist duties.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to communicate complex business information in a clear and compelling way
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, collaborate and build effective working relationships with internal partners in a constantly evolving environment.
- Data trending and analysis experience.
- Understanding of Employment Law and Employee Relations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Workday HRIS experience preferred.
