HR Specialist (Recruitment-Focused) – 1-Year Contract
Eclipse Trading is one of Asia's leading proprietary derivatives trading firms. Founded in 2007, we have over 100 employees across 4 office locations – Hong Kong (our HQ), Sydney, Shanghai and Chicago. Our trading expertise and strategies are deployed across several Asian markets and although we mainly specialise in equity derivatives, we also trade delta one, ETFs, commodity derivatives, and crypto currency products. The successful candidate will be part of our Human Resources team, reporting to the Head of Human Resources. This is a 1-year contract full-time on-site position based in our Hong Kong office.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the full recruitment cycle for both experienced and graduate hires, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination and assessment
- Leverage diverse sourcing methods to build & maintain a robust pipeline
- Support the onboarding process, including initiating background checks, coordinating visa applications and conducting orientations for new hires
- Maintain and update the company’s HR database and recruitment records
- Prepare, update, and analyze various HR-related reports to support decision-making
- Coordinate employee training and development programs where necessary
- Assist in organizing team events and employee engagement activities where necessary
- Act as the brand ambassador for Eclipse and manage candidate communications
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and best recruitment practices
- Support other ad hoc projects as and when necessary
What you offer
- University graduate or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in HR or recruitment, preferably with relevant work experience with a financial institution or proprietary trading firm
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly in both written and oral forms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HR systems and applicant tracking systems (e.g. Greenhouse) is a plus
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
