Job Description
Responsible for dealing with HR and recruitment queries and administration tasks.
- Deliver on key recruitment processes to ensure a seamless service to both candidate and internal stakeholders.
- Co-ordinate employee processes and internal changes (promotions, secondments, etc.) for operational staff.
- Responsible for conducting pre-employment vetting and background checks for Cargo employees, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.
- Responsible for the internal movers’ process (permanent appointments, secondments and promotions) this includes: o Issuing offer letters and contracts o Referencing internal candidates, o Conduct and administer background checks, including CRCs and right to work checks. o Set up of employees in PeopleOnline. o Liaising with payroll to ensure colleagues are moved onto new pay codes and correct benefits assigned
- Acts as an IAG Cargo and Airport Authority signatory for verification of references to support security pass issue.
- Ensures that all candidates joining IAG Cargo meet the strict regulatory compliance required within the desired timescales whilst still meeting both candidate and business expectations
- Support with raising resource approvals and appointments in the resource approval system.
- Update and monitor recruitment/approvals tracker to ensure visibility of candidates/approvals through the end to end recruitment process - Communicate resource approval outcomes to line managers
- Support with advertising roles on the recruitment system
- Monitor the central people inbox for queries - Support in the monitoring of the recruitment inbox for new appointments and queries
- Support line managers and operational teams with the onboarding of new joiners, both internal movers and external hires.
- Ensures that information is stored and processed in line with Company and legal requirements e.g. GDPR, ICFR controls
Qualifications
Technical Qualifications:
- Education:
- A degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., PeopleOnline, recruitment platforms, or similar HRIS tools).
- Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements, including:
- Right to Work checks.
- Criminal Record Checks (CRCs).
- GDPR compliance.
- Experience in payroll coordination and employee benefits administration.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for trackers, communications, and process monitoring.
- Knowledge of Processes:
- Familiarity with end-to-end recruitment processes and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience in managing pre-employment vetting, referencing, and onboarding processes.
- Understanding of internal change processes, including promotions, secondments, and appointments.

Experience:
- Work Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in an HR or recruitment administration role.
- Experience within a compliance-driven environment, preferably in logistics, aviation, or a related industry.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Familiarity with HR operations in the cargo or airline industry (preferred).
Regulatory and Compliance Competencies:
- Knowledge of Airport Authority requirements and security pass processes.
- Familiarity with ICFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting) controls related to HR data.
