Job Description:
HR Business Strategy
- Serve as advisor to client group on activities/issues impacting human capital resource.
- Safety – support safety culture with client group by integrating safety mindset into every process.
- Basics and ethics – follow company compliance policies, drive to closure compliance training and projects with client group.
- Ensure client group compliance to all state and federal legal requirements.
- Data/KPI’s – understand and track for client group-Turnover, absenteeism, overtime, etc.
- HR initiatives driver – GPM process, Compliance activities, talent development, Insight survey, Hitachi U trainings, safety trainings, etc.
- Drive on time completion of these by client group through regular updates/status reports.
- Problem solving – utilize 8 step problem solving process to identify data driven solutions to complex problems.
Talent Assessment and Development
- Inform/support/identify/coordinate training initiatives for client group
- Special projects – could be client group specific or individual stretch assignment.
- Establish formal and informal coaching relationships in alignment with business objectives.
Organizational Effectiveness
- Program/project management-drive to closure to meet commitments/deliverables to client group or HR mgmt.
- Provide regular updates to client group and HR mgmt.
- Vendor Management – partner with key vendors (i.e. temp staffing agency) to ensure performance requirements met.
- Communications – Daily meetings with client group, remind of current HR activities and group status and other activities that impact group.
- Formulate change strategies as needed, gain consensus and buy-in by affected stakeholders.
Workforce Planning/Staffing
- Recruitment – hourly and salary.
- Track for client group – weekly status open positions.
- Understand h/c condition in relation to overall site, obtain necessary approvals for backfilling/hiring.
- Ensure new hire communication/coordination before start date.
- Coordinate new hire buddies and new hire feedback questionnaire.
Employee Relations
- Positive employee relations strategies/activities.
- Case management-Investigate complaints in timely manner.
- Support disciplinary actions for policy violations.
- Record all activities in employee relations log.
- Perform terminations and exit interviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree required - Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources is preferred or 3-5 years experience in Human Resources function
- SHRM-CP Preferred
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
- Experience with HRIS (Workday)
- Experience with Excel VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
