HR Generalist– Enschede, Netherlands

This role is responsible for a wide range of HR functions, covering all aspects of the employee life cycle, and for supporting HR strategies to delivery of the business objectives. This includes talent management, organizational development, employee relations, compensation, compliance, benefits, training, and policy and procedure development.
Key Responsibilities:
Workday Management
- Maintain and update the Workday HR Information System, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Generate and analyze HR reports and metrics using Workday to support decision-making and strategic planning. Lead or participate in Workday-related projects and initiatives to enhance HR processes and systems.
Payroll
- Accurately process monthly payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes. Ensure compliance with country and local payroll regulations & CAO/ CLA (Collective Labor Agreements). Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
Employee Relations
- Address employee inquiries and concerns, provide guidance on HR policies, and foster a positive work environment. Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews. Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees. Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and enhance employee experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HR and payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and HRIS software, ideally Workday.
- Have a working knowledge and understanding of talent management, organizational effectiveness, learning and development, compensation and pay setting, employee relations, HR compliance, and recruitment & retention strategies and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Dutch labor laws and regulations.
- English language proficiency.
