This is an onsite position at Murray Resource Center.
As our HIM Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day to day supervision and management of the Health Information Management (HIM) associates and processes. As needed, this position may have assigned responsibilities in working with other facilities/departments in need of Health Information expertise (Home Care, Rehab, Hospital etc). Additionally, this position interacts on a regular basis with HIM operational teams and IT staff throughout the organization to provide guidance and direction for HIM best practice. To thrive in this role, you must continually keep abreast of changes in the HIM field to assure that our R1 HIM teams lead the way with best practice HIM operations.
Here’s what you will experience working as an HIM Manager:

Develop HIM best practice operational workflow, effectively using currently available technologies.

Coordinate with HIM IT Business Analyst in the roll out of current and new technologies.

Scanning/indexing technology currently used throughout the enterprise

Facilitate Management reports

Coordinate the revision and maintenance of job descriptions for HIM clerical staff that includes the use of new technology.

Serves as a resource, as requested, to other Departments throughout the enterprise on HIM related topics, providing expertise and guidance in operational matters and procedures.
Required qualifications:
-
Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).

3-5 years of operational HIM experience.

Expertise in Health Information functions and operations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent analytical skills and people skills.
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $72,130.00 - $121,466.44 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
