As our HIM Associate II, you will be maintaining the integrity and precision of healthcare records. You’ll use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide support to the Coding staff, by coordinating medical records needing coding completion between HIM departments.  Your role plays a key part in managing and overseeing health information systems for reimbursement purposes. 

Previous experience in health information management will give you leverage to understand the department. You will gain proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and develop the ability to analyze healthcare records.

Here’s what you will experience working as our HIM Associate II

  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the escalation of uncoded accounts is in accordance with patient care, regulatory compliance, legal standards, and HIM/Coding department policies and procedures.
  • You will monitor the work queues for coding completeness. 
  • You will be a liaison between clinical, billing, and coding staff to resolve HIM-related issues.
  • You will assemble and analyze paper and electronic health records for coding completion.

Required skills:

  • Previous experience with Health Information Management and revenue cycle processes.
  • Strong attention to detail for conducting thorough account reviews.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $14.11 - $21.88 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
