Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Help Desk Support Assistant in our North Mankato, MN facility! this role is crucial in providing initial support to employees/users, ensuring that their issues are resolved quickly or escalated appropriately.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide quick and effective assistance with information technology systems via email, phone, online chats, or in person
  • Inform end users about IT products and services
  • Walk end users step-by-step through the problem-solving process
  • Guide end users remotely through systems configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Listen attentively to end users’ questions and concerns and offer optimal solutions
  • Follow up with end users to ensure satisfactory service and communicate feedback to the appropriate internal team members
  • Prioritize end user satisfaction in all communications, directing unresolved issues to next-level personnel

You Must Have:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and experience troubleshooting hardware and software
  • The ability to break down technological processes and deliver clear, step-by-step instructions
  • Patient, friendly demeanor with a great aptitude for listening
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer focused approach
  • Commitment to providing exceptional end user service
  • Team-oriented mindset with an openness to constructive feedback
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and systems
  • Experience working as an IT help desk technician or in a similar end user support role

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in customer service or technical support role
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $19.00 - 21.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
