The Role 

Our Global Sales organisation operates is managed in a regional model with leaders for the Americas, APAC and EMEA. The team, based in EMEA, is customer facing quota carriers who have responsibility for the commercial success of our new sales and customer renewals. 

We are seeking a passionate and delivery focused Senior Director, Sales, EMEA to lead our sales efforts across the region. As Senior Director, Sales, EMEA you’ll be responsible for driving business growth, building, and managing a high-performing account management team, and exceeding revenue targets.   

Key Responsibilities 

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute the overall sales strategy for the EMEA region, aligning with the company's global sales objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify and cultivate new opportunities, client relationships, and threats.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline and forecast accuracy, ensuring consistent pipeline growth. 

Team Leadership:

  • Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing account management team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure individual and team success. 
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive sales culture that encourages creativity, innovation, and accountability within the team and with global peers. 

Revenue Growth:

  • Set ambitious revenue targets and drive the team to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and industry influencers. 
  • Market Expansion: 
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the company's market presence within the EMEA region. 
  • Negotiate and close complex sales deals with financial institutions and other key clients. 
  • Evaluate and establish strategic relationships with industry partners and decision-makers to enhance the company's market position.

Sales Operations: 

  • Implement effective sales processes, tools, and systems to streamline operations and enhance the efficiency of the account management team. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure a seamless customer experience. 
  • Performance Analysis: 
  • Regularly analyse sales performance metrics and market trends to provide insights on opportunities for improvement aimed at driving continuous improvement. 
  • Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions and optimize sales strategies. 

Required Education & Experience 

  • Proven experience in B2B software sales with a successful track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets. 
  • Proven experience in technology sales, financial services and capital markets.
  • Strong understanding of the EMEA market and cultural nuances.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in using data to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to travel within the EMEA region, as needed.
  • Languages a plus
