Core Responsibilities
- Government and Public Affairs lead for the LEGO® Group in India; responsible for anticipating, analyzing and providing regulatory advice to the business. Driving strategic government engagement and enabling operating stability, growth and brand reputation in the country.
- Enable business acceleration in India by analyzing regulatory risk and opportunities, providing proactive counsel internally and engaging government partners to influence policy in country and preserving operating stability.
- Collaborating closely with the India office colleagues, APAC colleagues and developing strong compelling narratives for the LEGO Group to be successful in India.
- Identifying and developing deep, long term partnerships that mutually benefit the LEGO®group and its related eco-system as well as the Indian eco-system.
- Navigating complex and ambiguous regulatory challenges to preserve the LEGO® Group’s long term interests.

In Government & Public Affairs, we do this by enabling the LEGO Group and LEGO branded entities to thrive and grow through strategic engagement with governments and related partners; enabling market opportunities, protecting our business from political and legislative risk, and enhancing our reputation. We work towards a favorable legislative and regulatory environment through comprehensive issues management ensuring no surprises to the operating model. We deliver a public affairs program that builds reputation, goodwill and harmonies with regulators, policy decision makers and local communities establishing the LEGO Group as a leader in the toy and play industry as well as a global leader in Learning Through Play.
When you join our team and this position, you will have an opportunity to learn how to anticipate, counsel and shape the public policy agenda that will impact the LEGO Group’s supply chain and operational growth in a high growth region.
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in public affairs, public policy, political science or related fields
- At least 12-15 years in a Government Affairs role in India with leadership experience in multinational organisations. Experience in consumer goods, retail or logistics industries will be a plus
- Active experience in direct engagement with government at senior levels, navigating regulatory complexities and providing strong counsel to business collaborators
- Passionate about government affairs as well as the importance of creative learning and sustainability
- Ability to collaborate with other subject matter experts in the company and demonstrate a high degree of openness and transparency within a matrixed structure
- Values driven with a high level of integrity
- Entrepreneurial, consistently improving and proactive
- High results orientation and drive to deliver impact
- Highly fluent in spoken and written English
- This role will require certain level of travel
