ERM is seeking a GL Accountant who will assist in preparing financial statements, managing provisions, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and HGB standards, while also overseeing account postings, reconciling general and subledgers, and handling intercompany settlements. The ideal candidate is calm, confident, and pragmatic, capable of maintaining a level-headed approach under pressure. With a strong focus on standardization and automation, this individual thrives in dynamic business environments and excels in building effective interpersonal relationships.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Assist in preparing financial statements, managing provisions, and ensuring adherence to IFRS and HGB standards.
- Account Management & Reconciliation: Oversee account postings, reconcile general and subledgers, and handle intercompany settlements.
- VAT & Tax Preparation: Prepare VAT returns, collaborate with auditors, and assist in tax-related tasks.
- Process Improvement & Collaboration: Contribute to the development of accounting processes and work closely with finance teams across international sister companies.
- Payroll & Statistical Reporting: Check payroll and prepare statistical reports for internal and external purposes.
Requirements
- Trained Accountant and Certified GL Accountant or a comparable University degree
- Several years of relevant professional experience in finance and accounting
- Good knowledge of IFRS and HGB
- Structured, reliable and goal-oriented way of working
- Proficiency in Excel is a must
- Good knowledge of common ERP programs
- Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
- Enjoy working in a team and in an international environment
- Very good knowledge of English and German
