Junior AR Accountant
Remote working - Berlin based with occasional office visit
This role focuses on ensuring the accurate and timely billing of customers while driving improvements to billing processes. Working closely with the Finance and Sales team, the successful candidate will contribute to maintaining high financial control standards and support ongoing improvements.
The Role
- Creating and issuing high volumes of invoices efficiently and accurately within set time frames, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Raising credit notes and preparing adjusting journals.
- Supporting month-end close processes
- Handling customer enquiries regarding invoices.
- Updating accounting records with new payments, balances, and customer information.
- Communicating with customers to resolve payment issues and disputes.
- Posting of cash receipts.
- Provide assistance at the Year End audit
- Provide the necessary support to the revenue controller in all AR related processes.
- Continuously seeking process improvement opportunities, with a focus on leveraging technology for automation.
- Adapting duties as priorities evolve within the team. Supporting other finance teams when required.
The Profile
- The successful candidate will ideally have one to two years previous experience of working as a revenue assistant, biller or credit controller in a Media/e-commerce environment.
- Good communication skills in English. German would be a plus.
- An understanding of financial procedures.
- The ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience of Salesforce and/or Netsuite would be a plus.
- Strong administration skills and ability to work with high volumes of different workloads and remain calm.
