The role is responsible for managing and coordinating all the processes and work activities related to Academic Quality Assurance and associated with governmental regulatory requirements requested at the group level.

In addition, the role is involved in the implementation and enhance systems and processes, with a proactive, operational and supportive approach to the local academic staff and management team.

key purpose of the role

  • Academic Activities: to be responsible at the group level for the coordination and observance of the academic requirements as official degree award bodies body for Istituto Marangoni. To review documents related to the validation and modification of courses, supporting also Communication and Sales departments with proper information on accreditation systems.. To be part of several boards and committees, such as HQ Quality Committee and Education Board. To be involved in schools’ growth and to develop projects such as TDAP.

  • Policies and regulations: to ensure continuous professional updates and knowledge of accreditation bodies’ policies and requirements within the international Higher Education panorama; to transmit knowledge to Istituto Marangoni’s Schools, involving different departments. To monitor regulatory return activities at the headquarters level and to ensure timely submissions

  • Global Quality KPI analysis: to develop a periodical KPI’s analysis in order to identify needs and to implement the necessary improvements in agreement with the Schools

  • People Leadership and Management: to support local resources in their professional growth and skills development; to plan and organize jobs and activities and to assign tasks related to new projects; to guarantee respect of policies, code of ethics and company’s procedures; to actively support change management and innovative approaches, making sure that all documentation is constantly updated and archived.

Education and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Master's Degree (desirable)

  • Previous experience working in a similar role in higher education 

  • People management experience

  • Ability to prioritise own workload and co-ordinate tasks to meet deadlines

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with previous experience of minuting formal committees, preferably also including as Secretary to validation and review panels or their equivalent.

  • Detailed knowledge and experience of international QAA requirements relating to quality and standards of higher education

  • Ability to analyse a wide range of complex information and data and provide accurate high-level summaries

  • Excellent customer service ethos 

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal stakeholders

  • High level of IT literacy

  • Interest in and basic knowledge of Fashion & Design is desirable
