Job Summary:
As a Graphic Coordinator at Huhtamaki, you will play a crucial role in creating precise color-separated production art that aligns with packaging die lines and print specifications. Your expertise will help guide customers in preparing their packaging art, ensuring all specifications are met. You will also prepare high-resolution, color-managed proofs for customer approval and make necessary modifications to art files.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electronically construct color-separated production art according to packaging die lines and print specifications.
- Provide technical instruction and guidance to customers for their packaging art preparation.
- Examine customer-provided art to ensure it meets print and packaging specifications.
- Prepare high-resolution, color-managed proofs for final customer approval.
- Modify art files as needed to meet customer and production specifications.
- Maintain organized graphic files and document critical steps of each job.
- Manage customer expectations regarding print outcomes and timing.
- Participate in project calls to share and receive information related to graphic jobs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Highly proficient with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of printing processes and color separations.
- Experience with folded cartons, paper cups, containers, and packaging is a plus.
- Strong analytical and creative thinking skills to interpret provided art files.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Ability to distinguish color variance and solve problems efficiently.
- Willingness to work extended hours if needed.
- Strong organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Imaging Technologies, or a related field.
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based with controlled climate conditions.
- Hybrid work environment that mixes in-office and remote work to offer flexibility and support to employees. In-office hours are set by group Manager.
