As a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining and supporting the Google Cloud Platform. This includes developing and optimizing cloud solutions that support ALLO's various business functions. Your expertise in GCP, networking, and cloud security will be critical to ensuring the high availability and performance ALLO systems.
This is an in-office position in Lincoln, NE.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
GCP Architecture

Design and deploy GCP infrastructure to support the specific needs of ALLO systems

Optimize cloud resources for scalability and performance to handle high transaction volumes and data processing

Work closely with the internal teams to ensure seamless integration of tools, applications, and services within the platform
Infrastructure Automation & Integration
-
Develop automation scripts and pipelines for streamlined management and scaling of infrastructure
-
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying and updating components on GCP
-
Enable efficient data flows between applications and core network systems
Network Configuration & Performance Tuning
-
Configure and maintain cloud network topologies (e.g., VPC, VPNs) for secure, reliable connectivity of services

Collaborate with network engineers to ensure that cloud and on-premise systems communicate effectively

Monitor and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues within the platform
Cloud Security & Compliance
-
Implement GCP security best practices to protect sensitive data
-
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards for data handling and security

Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments and remediation
Monitoring & Incident Response

Set up monitoring solutions to monitor infrastructure and detect issues proactively

Manage incident response processes for services, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity

Develop disaster recovery and backup solutions for applications and databases
Documentation & Training

Document GCP architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures for support teams

Provide training and knowledge sharing with internal teams to ensure understanding and continuity in cloud operations

Stay current with GCP advancements and implement relevant improvements
EDUCATION:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
-
Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Network Engineer (preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
-
3+ years working with GCP, particularly in roles supporting telecom environments
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
-
Proficiency in GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, VPC, Cloud Functions, and IAM
-
Strong understanding of OSS/BSS workflows, data processing, and transaction management
-
Experience with Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar IaC tools for managing cloud resources
-
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Logic Monitor or similar
-
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for cloud infrastructure optimization
-
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
-
Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment, focusing on reliability and performance
