Job purpose
The Global Product Line Manager is responsible for supporting and executing the product management plans and projects for our market-leading Aftermarket Steering & Suspension Product line. This person will report to the Global Product Lead - Chassis and work cross-functionally with other Global functions including Engineering, Purchasing, Quality as well as regional functional departments such as Supply Chain & Logistics, Demand Planning, Category Management, Cataloguing and Marketing within the wider business. The individual will also co-ordinate and manage multiple suppliers and plants and any new business opportunities aligned to execute our Long-Range Business Plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver New to Range (NTR) requirements of the regions in line with the global product strategy, at the required quality and cost to allow the sales team to sell competitively in the market(s) whilst maximizing the profitability of PHINIA
- Manage cross functional teams ensuring processes are followed efficiently, deliverables are aligned, and the team is focused on the same Business objectives (+$110M)
- Identify cost improvement opportunities based on lifecycle position and feedback from Category Management teams and ensure cost targets and product specifications are received and understood by the purchasing team
- Collaborate with suppliers and ensure their priorities lead to flawless product execution and launch timelines for PHINIA
- Analyze new vehicle models being launched on the market and determine range prioritization including a focus on Electric & Hybrid Vehicles or any other current and future trends
- Conduct financial analysis with partnering finance teams, estimating expected costs and financial returns from the Budget Business Plan & Accelerated Growth – Art of The Possible projects
- Conduct risk assessments: report identified risks to management; provide recommendations for mitigation of risk
- Address questions and concerns related to Steering & Suspension products and projects and act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate and collaborate with regional sales and marketing teams to support and share information required to promote and sell Chassis products, new programs and new to range parts
- Lead by example; be a role model of PHINIA values: Product Leadership, Humility, Inclusivity, Net-Zero, Integrity, Accountability
- Safety and Health – Responsible for completing required safety training, reporting and correcting any unsafe practices as appropriate, completing work activities in a safe manner, and complying with safety and health requirements for respective position
What we’re looking for
Education & Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Commercial environment with sales and product management responsibilities
- Experience of a global product portfolio with scale e.g. +$50M Annual Sales
- Extensive Aftermarket Steering & Suspension product knowledge is preferred but not essential
- Bachelor’s Degree and other post-graduate degrees preferred

- Project & Change Management – Demonstrable ability to develop & facilitate projects, within given parameters across regions
- Collaboration – Ability to lead multi-functional teams to work in a matrix organization
- Demonstrable strategic thinking abilities with a can-do attitude, ability to work under pressure and respond quickly and positively to opportunities
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude and influencing skills
- Organizational and leadership skills / Excellent communication skills with key stakeholders at all levels
- Commercial acumen and a passion to drive strategic plans forward, able to analyze and produce reports and recommendations
- Language - English. Additional languages would be beneficial such Chinese or Turkish
- Must be able to travel 2 – 3 times per year internationally
